This policy explains cookies and similar storage used by managed-service-provider.co.uk, operated by Proxar Limited. Cookies are small browser records. Local storage also saves information on your device, but does not automatically expire in the same way as a cookie.
Your choice about analytics
Google Analytics is optional. Our consent controls offer Accept analytics and Reject optional. The website’s loader holds back Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics until you accept. Browsing, ignoring the banner or sending an enquiry does not count as analytics consent. You can use the website and enquiry form after rejecting analytics.
Use the Cookie settings button to change your choice at any time, then choose Reject optional to withdraw. The control is shown when optional analytics is enabled. If analytics is disabled site-wide, the theme does not load those Google tags and does not display the banner.
Storage used by this website
| Name and provider | Purpose and choice | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| msp-analytics-consent-v2 Proxar; local storage | Remembers your analytics decision, decision time and notice version. Used to respect your privacy choice, including refusal. | Honoured for 180 days. An expired record may remain in browser storage until replaced or cleared. |
| _ga and _ga_* Google Analytics; first-party cookies | Distinguish visitors and maintain session information for optional website measurement. Enabled only after analytics acceptance. | Google’s default is two years and may refresh with activity. Browser limits can shorten this. This is separate from our 180-day consent decision. |
| cf_clearance Cloudflare | Records that a visitor has passed a security check, when a challenge is used. Security-related; separate from optional analytics. | Depends on Cloudflare challenge configuration and the check performed. The browser record has its own expiry. |
| WordPress authentication cookies WordPress on this site | Support administrator sign-in and session security. A normal public visit does not require an administrator login. | Depends on login/session settings, including whether the administrator selects Remember Me. |
Necessary storage is used for the particular service or security purpose it supports; it is not permission for marketing. Cloudflare’s storage depends on which security features are used and whether your visit encounters a check. Its cookie documentation describes those feature-dependent records.
What analytics measures
With consent, Google Analytics 4 records usage such as page views, scrolling, device and browser information, referring sites and approximate location, including city-level reports. Cookie identifiers can distinguish visits; this information is not necessarily anonymous.
If you consent when submitting an enquiry and when its measurement occurs, we record that the website accepted an enquiry for sending. The event adds a fixed form identifier and event type to the usual analytics information. It does not include your name, email, telephone number or message, and does not confirm that the email reached us.
We do not use Google Ads, Google signals, advertising personalisation or Microsoft Clarity session replay. Advertising consent remains denied. Google user and event data retention is set to two months, with reset on new activity disabled; that is separate from cookie lifetimes and standard aggregated reports.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Rejecting through Cookie settings stops subsequent collection through our loader and attempts to delete accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. The page may reload to stop an already loaded tag. Security records are not deleted by the analytics choice. Withdrawal does not itself delete information already held by Google; contact us about a data-rights request.
You can also clear or block storage using your browser. Clearing storage removes the saved decision, so the website may ask again. Blocking all storage can affect sign-in or security features. Refusing analytics remains a valid choice.
