Plan or improve Intune around real device needs, with purposeful policies, representative testing and a clear support handover.
Proxar · UK expertise
Cisco consultancy
Before replacing equipment or changing a Cisco configuration, it helps to understand what the evidence is telling you. We can investigate a particular problem, review a proposed design or help your team choose a workable approach.
Technology partnerships
Technology partners you know
We help you choose and look after the technology your team uses every day.
Start with the service affected and the decision needed
Tell us what is failing or changing, who is affected and the choice your team needs to make. Topology, device and software records, configurations and recent changes provide a useful starting point.
An intermittent fault also needs timing and examples of the paths involved. Read-only evidence may be enough to begin. Any diagnostic work that could affect production needs agreed limits and permission, not an assumption that a consultancy engagement permits unrestricted testing.
Let the evidence determine the recommendation
An application interruption may involve routing, access policy or an upstream service. The review should distinguish observed facts from hypotheses that still need testing. Replacing a switch is not a useful default answer before those possibilities have been considered.
The outputs can include findings, design options and a recommended approach with compatibility and lifecycle considerations. Dependencies, implementation stages and validation checks make those recommendations easier for your team to assess and use.

Be clear about what follows the advice
A review can leave your team with recommendations without changing the live environment. Where implementation is included, its approval and testing arrangements need to be explicit. Procurement and continuing administration are separate responsibilities to establish as well.
Cisco enterprise designs covers a fuller architecture engagement. Cisco and Meraki management concerns day-to-day operation of an agreed environment.
Bring the records available even where they are incomplete. Identifying a gap in the diagram, access or supplier information is part of deciding what can be established now and which questions need further evidence before a firm recommendation is made.

Before you decide
Your questions, answered
Can you review another supplier’s proposed design?
We can discuss a technical review with agreed criteria and access to the relevant evidence. The result should explain what was examined, which assumptions were checked and which remain outside the review. That gives your business useful questions and findings rather than an unsupported verdict on a design we cannot fully inspect.
Will you change our production configuration?
Only where implementation or diagnostic changes are included and authorised. A focused review may begin with read-only evidence and provide recommendations without modifying the live network. Any activity that can affect users needs appropriate approval, boundaries and validation before it proceeds.
What documentation is useful at the start?
Topology, device and software records, relevant configurations and recent change history can all help. For a fault, describe the affected users, application paths and timing. Missing records should be identified rather than quietly filled with assumptions, because they can change the investigation and confidence in a recommendation.
Does consultancy include ongoing network management?
Not automatically. Analysis or design work is a defined engagement, while recurring administration and fault handling need their own arrangement. We agree the handover and next actions, including any implementation required, so the end of the review does not leave the business uncertain about who will operate the result.
Your next step
What does your team need to understand about the Cisco network?
Share the problem or proposed change, the records available and the decision waiting on an answer. We will help you choose a focused review and the evidence needed to make it useful.
